WorldMate for iPhone - The First Update is Out
It's been less than three weeks since the release of WorldMate for iPhone, and already we have the first upgrade out. The new version fixes some sign-up issues encountered by users before, and improves the free Flight Schedules search (you can now manually enter airport codes to search for flights) and automates some other functions - like one-click e-mails to someone you have a meeting with, and automatic home city setup if you're an existing WorldMate Live user.
We've upgraded both WorldMate and WorldMate Gold, so be sure to use the latest version!

WorldMate is awesome!! Rich and I use it for all of my itineraries and travel plans. Highly recommended!

I have a couple of question on "WM Gold for iP" :
- What do I get with it ? 1 month or 1 year or lifetime subscription to "Gold" ?
- When I purchase "WM Gold for iP" how can I upgrade my current basic account to "gold" ? Or will I have to create a new account ?
- Currently I have an iP and a BB pointing both to a same WM account. What if I purchase "WM Gold for iP" ? Will I get the "gold" service on both devices ?
- I assume that buying "WM Gold for iP" will give me "gold" subscription for only a limited time. How can I do after this period to renew my subscription (since you can not repurchase the same app. on Appstore, you redownload it always for free) ?

You get one year of Gold -it's in the product description on iTunes.
The account is automatically upgraded. We take care of that.
2 devices - you can use with two devices, but only one can be the "master" that gets the pushed itineraries synced. The other one will stop syncing. To get it to sync - you need to request manual synchronization - which will make it the master. So basically you can use one at a time (kind of makes sense, no?)
Re renewal - good point. You can renew on the www.worldmate.com website. just like for BlackBerry

So the first time, I get 1 year subscription for ~$15 and after that I have to renew for ~$11 per month or ~$95 per year ? Why this big difference in price ? What do I miss ?

The situation on the iPhone us that (A) we've just launched and are still doing penetration pricing - i.e. you get a GREAT DEAL. (B) Our iPhone client v1 does not include all the goodies you'll get soon and are part of our Gold package everywhere else - like pushed flight alerts for instance. SO pretty soon the product will do more, and we'll price it higher.
Currently it's a steal - we won't be there for long.

WM for S60 let you have multiple cities for weather. WM for iPhone doesn't seem to have this feature. Am I missing something?

You're not. The iPhone has a built-in weather app, it seemed redundant to just duplicate that.

Just installed the iPhone gold version after I stopped using Worldmate when I purchased my first iPhone . Great app once again but how can one edit an itinerary description when it shows "unassigned items"?
Thanks

Hi Andre,
We are working on adding editing capabilities to our iPhone app; for now you can edit your itineraries from your desktop, by simply signing in at: www.worldmate.com
Thanks,

Yes indeed and it works fine! Thank you!

@nadav: good point, but I don't like the built-in weather app. Not enough detail. Guess I'll stick with weatherbug for my meteorology fix.
